Addressing this requires moving beyond perspectives shaped by historical power imbalances and colonial legacies, which can limit creativity, innovation, and understanding in a globalised context. This contributed volume is a timely exploration of how colonial legacies persist in management practices, diversity paradigms, and workplace dynamics, and how they might be transformed.
The chapters in this volume explore multiple dimensions of decolonisation within organisational contexts. This includes exploring how historical colonial ideologies persist within management systems and organisational cultures, critiquing existing paradigms and laying a foundation for reimagining organisational frameworks through decolonial lenses. Indigenous and context-specific perspectives that prioritise equity and representation are used to interrogate the notion of diversity in workplaces, arguing that conventional approaches often reinforce neo-colonial practices rather than fostering genuine inclusivity. The book will be of great interest to scholars and students of organisation studies, colonialism in business and HRM.
Olatunji David Adekoya&nbsp;is a Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University, UK. His research covers broad areas of management studies, organisational behaviour and human resource management.
Hakeem Adeniyi Ajonbadi is an Associate Professor and expert in International Human Resource Management and Organisational Development at the University of Doha for Science and Technology, Qatar. His research examines topical issues in HRM, organisational behaviour and entrepreneurship.
Malgorzata Ciesielska&nbsp;is a Professor of Management and Organization Studies at Sheffield Business School, UK, where she leads a research cluster on Responsible Leadership and Socially Just Organizations. Her research interests include fair management practices, inclusive organizations, intersectionality in the workplace, and coaching.
Oluwaseun Kolade is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation at Sheffield Business School. His research spans digital transformation, circular economy, transformative entrepreneurship, and SME strategies.

Frank A. Stengel is a&nbsp;Senior&nbsp;Lecturer in Sociology at Kiel University and a Non-Resident Fellow at the Gobal Public Policy Institute in Berlin. Previously, he was a DAAD&nbsp;Post-Doctoral fellow at&nbsp;the&nbsp;Johns Hopkins&nbsp;University School of Advanced International Studies&nbsp;in Washington, DC. He works on&nbsp;German foreign and security policy, populism,&nbsp;and&nbsp;IR and&nbsp;sociological theory. They have applications across the social sciences, notably in economics, marketing, and political science. This volume addresses the drivers and mechanisms of institutional change in Europe and East Asia during times of international crisis. Under what conditions and through what processes does a form of regionalism or regionalization change? Why is there a different pace of development, and what mechanism is responsible for institutional change? Is it simply copying, or are there other mechanisms at work? Why do regions institutionalize, and why don't others?
We will distinguish between "regionalization" and "regionalism." While the former is a bottom-up process involving all kinds of citizens, non-governmental organizations, and academic circles, the latter is a top-down activity. It is the work of states, public international organizations, and diplomats. This book focuses on both phenomena. One could argue that East Asia first experienced regionalization, followed by regionalism. In the EU, however, it may be the other way around, as international organizations and elites have largely driven the integration project thus far.

As the 2024 General Election has taken place and President Jokowi's term came to an end, this book presents a timely and comprehensive discussion on Indonesian foreign policy and diplomacy and its associated challenges—those of the past, and those now facing the current administration. Relevant to Indonesian and international political scientists and social scientists, this interdisciplinary book—which includes perspectives from both scholars and practitioners—confronts Jokowi's policies relating to the economy, territorial, migration, religion, and all aspects of Indonesian society, in the context of the former government.
