&lt;p class="yiv6140339615msonormal" style="margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; background: white;"&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;Business valuation and company value play a very important role in making an informed investment decision; buying and selling shares and bonds of a company on the stock market; insurance; taxation, etc. &lt;span style="color: #1d1d1d;"&gt;This book develops new approaches to business valuation and company value. &lt;/span&gt;The existing methods of business and company valuation have many shortcomings, two of which are global, related to the impossibility of estimating one of the fundamental parameters of valuation &amp;ndash; the discount rate, and the impossibility of correctly accounting for the retrospective period of valuation. Both of these shortcomings can currently be overcome only within the framework of the modern theory of Brusov-Filatova-Orekhova (BFO), which is done in this monograph, devoted to the development of a qualitatively new approach to the valuation of businesses and companies. The second most important method of business valuation &amp;ndash; CAPM &amp;ndash; was generalized by the authors to include financial risk along with business risk, and for the first time this was done correctly. A new model &amp;ndash; CAPM 2.0 &amp;ndash; was created and applied to many companies. And finally, CAPM 2.0 was included in the modern theory of Brusov-Filatova-Orekhova (BFO), which allows for a correct assessment of a business and a company, taking into account both business and financial risks, illustrating the practical application of the developed innovative approach.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This book examines several contemporary issues which are shaping corporate governance in the banking sector. These issues have been evolving over the past decade and even more so since the Global Financial Crisis (GFC, 2007-09) revealed many significant weaknesses in corporate governance structures at banks. Alongside major reforms to the architecture of the global financial system, like the introduction of the Basel 3 Accord, the post-GFC emergence of new issues and acceleration in the importance of others is affecting banks, their competitiveness and business models, and their governance structures. For instance, the emergence and rapid growth of FinTech (financial technology), the increasing focus of government and society on CSR (corporate social responsibility) and ESG (environment, social and governance) investing that speaks to the generational issue of the environment, climate change and associated risks. On top of these developments came the COVID-19 health pandemic that has impacted banks and significantly increased the rate of digitalization. Given the many challenges culminating around banks, this book in three sections provides a timely comparison of the factors influencing corporate governance at banks before and after the GFC, and will be of interest to researchers and students in banking and corporate finance alongside practitioners and policymakers.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This book examines how corporate ethics, social responsibility, and prevention strategies against financial crime may remedy shortcomings of corporate governance. Corporate governance structures and mechanisms may contribute to enhancing the value of integrity in organizational life. Nonetheless, executives and directors who emphasize a structural and procedural way of thinking often miss the point. Corporate governance structures and mechanisms can favor practices of integrity and righteousness. But those structures and mechanisms have deficiencies since they cannot allow the organization to avoid corporate deviancy and delinquency. The book describes how corporate governance and social responsibility reports and programs may allow executives and directors to deepen the meaning of corporate governance, as it is related to organizational culture. Furthermore, the volume discusses how corporate governance structures and mechanisms (including the board of directors and shareholder activism) might have a significant impact on the way integrity is safeguarded in an organization. Corporate Governance, Organizational Ethics, and Prevention Strategies Against Financial Crime

&lt;p&gt; This book focuses on the linkage between corporate social responsibility (CSR) engagement and innovation strategies in the context of Japanese firms beginning in the late 2000s. Since that time, the firms have faced transformations in their business models and CSR activities in the face of global technological competition. The novelty of this book is that it carefully identifies the channels linking CSR and innovation through employee motivation for creativity and investor awareness of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. As well, the book sheds light on the role of independent sustainability rating agencies as information intermediaries in this linkage. It empirically examines whether and how internal and external stakeholder engagement influences organizational innovation capability and the impact of ESG ratings on that relationship. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; This present work helps to provide a comprehensive understanding of the integration of multi-stakeholder engagement in corporate innovation strategies to survive in changing social and environmental circumstances, with insight into the role of information intermediaries in the integration process. The book has practical implications for strategic CSR to achieve social and environmental sustainability, which are particularly important in Japan.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
