In his essays, Stefan Alkier argues for continuing the question of miracles in dialogue with contemporary work on the concept of reality as an open question, beyond demythologization and rehistoricization. It should no longer be obscured by a narrow focus on form criticism but should be dealt with across text types within the framework of research into ancient discourses on miracles. Alkier also poses the systematic-theological question of God's work of miracles today.
