Robert Khuzami is an American lawyer, currently serving as the current Director of Enforcement at the Securities and Exchange Commission. He is a 1979 graduate of the University of Rochester and a graduate of Boston University School of Law. In 1993 he has lead a team of three prosecutors to bring to justice World Trade Center bombers, who killed six and injured hundreds. In 1999 he led the prosecution of Patrick Bennett, former CFO at the Bennett Funding Group, creator of a $700 million Ponzi scheme in which 12,000 investors where defrauded. It was the largest Ponzi scheme of that time. He is currently leading a case against Goldman Sachs for fraudulent investments vehicles that were based on subprime home loans.
