Public diplomacy matters to the G20. As the self declared 'premier international forum for economic cooperation', the G20 has global interests and ambitions. The G20 requires the ongoing engagement and support of global public audiences. Simply put, it is a matter of effectiveness, legitimacy and credibility. Yet as an informal, nomadic institution that brings together a diverse array of high profile actors, global, interests and issues, the G20 also presents unique opportunities and challenges to public diplomacy's agenda. The wider narrative of the G20 as an inclusive institution capable of involving publics in the process of global change is underexplored. This book asserts that public diplomacy is the key to the G20's ongoing development, and proposes a fourth phase to John Kirton's (2013), current three phased approach: the mobilization of the many. Maschinen des Herodot bauen insgesamt 71 Jahre lang an der Cheops-Pyramide

Nach der Idee des Autors plant der gottähnliche Wesir und Baumeister des Pharao Djoser, Imhotep, bereits 100 Jahre vor dem Tod des Cheops dessen Grabstätte.
Danach bauen die Pharaonen Huni, Snofru und Cheops zu je 1/3 das gewaltige Werk innerhalb von 71 Jahren. 
65 Jahre sind nötig, um die 96,6 Meter Pyramide oberhalb des bereits fertigen 50 Meter hohen Pyramidenstumpfes zu erstellen, also "nur" noch 29 % der Pyramiden-Gesamtbaumasse. 
2 riesige, 158 m hohe Stein-Hebe-Maschinen, platziert an der Pyramiden Süd- und Westseite, leisten die Hauptarbeit. Dabei heben 2 Schwesternschiffe der Barke des Cheops (Königsschiffe) mit ihrer Gewichtskraft, schwimmend in 53 Meter langen Wassertanks, mit einem einzigen Hub jeweils 50 der insgesamt 2.729.888 verbleibenden Steinquader à 695 Kilogramm Durchschnittsgewicht pro Block, mit jedem Hub 4 Meter hoch.
Wie die beiden 43 Meter langen Stein-Hebe-Schiffe nach Neubachers Barkentheorie den Großteil der erforderlichen Hubarbeit oberhalb 50 Meter Bauhöhe verrichten können, zeigt das vorliegende Buch mit Hilfe aussagekräftiger Modelle und maßstabsgerechten Nachbauten der Hebeschiffe.
Auch das Problem des Transportes der etwa 50 Monolithe, bis 64 Tonnen schwer, zum Bau von Königskammer und Entlastungskammern bis auf 43 Meter Höhe wird beschrieben. Dazu ziehen 9 Stein-Hebe-Maschinen des Herodot, mit wenigen Handgriffen verändert, die Schwergewichte über die noch nicht fertige schräge Ostseite nach oben zur Pyramiden-Westseite und ersetzen dabei Hunderte menschlicher Schlepper.
MASCHINEN: klein, groß und riesig - in Aufbau und Funktion ähnlich dem ägyptischen Schaduf - leisten die Hubarbeit beim Heben, Verlegen (Einfügen), Absenken und Ziehen der Pyramidensteine bis hinauf in schwindelnde Höhen und im Pyramideninneren.
Dabei wird der griechische Historiker Herodot in wesentlichen Punkten bestätigt. Herodot berichtet bereits 450 Jahre v. Chr. in seinen Historien von Maschinen (machanas), die die ägyptischen Pyramiden bauten.
Dabei geht es in diesem Buch im Wesentlichen um das Verbauen der 2.729.888 Steinquader (0,695 Tonnen/Block) - genannt Standardblöcke Nr. 2 - ab der oberen Fläche des fertiggestellten 50 Meter hohen Pyramidenstumpfes mit 1.854.504 Standardblöcken (2,5 Tonnen/Block).
