Neidhart und Neidhartiana

This volume brings together the papers given at the Bamberg Neidhart Conference in March 2023, providing rigorous new interpretations on the basis of transmission history. They focus on interpretations of individual songs as well as Neidhart's song corpus, which was long stigmatized as "inauthentic." The volume is rounded off by outlooks on their diverse reflections in late medieval, early modern, and modern reception.
