 präsentiert die fesselnden Vorträge der Mitgliederversammlung der Heisenberg-Gesellschaft vom Oktober 2021. Nach den COVID-bedingten Einschränkungen bot sich erstmals wieder die Gelegenheit, in einem Hörsaal der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität zwei hochkarätige wissenschaftliche Präsentationen vor einem größeren Publikum zu erleben. Nobelpreisträger Reinhard Genzel nahm die Zuhörerinnen und Zuhörer mit auf eine Reise ins Zentrum der Milchstraße, wo sie mit ihm zusammen das gigantische Schwarze Loch mit vier Milliarden Sonnenmassen entdecken konnten. Klaus Hentschel wiederum machte deutlich, wie sich allmählich die Idee von Lichtquanten herausbildete: Er zeigte auf, wie vielschichtig Einsteins 1905 vorgestelltes Konzept war und wie dessen Interpretation jahrzehntelang kontrovers diskutiert wurde. Der Band wird durch eine persönliche Rede Werner Heisenbergs zur Einweihung des Werner-Heisenberg-Gymnasiums in Garching bereichert, in der er Erfahrungen aus seiner eigenen Schulzeit teilte.
 Die Heisenberg-Gesellschaft widmet sich dem Nachlass von Werner Heisenberg, der Aufarbeitung spannender Aspekte der Wissenschaftsgeschichte - insbesondere der Quantenmechanik - und der schulischen Vermittlung moderner Physik.

Im ersten Teil werden ausführlich sowohl Handwerkszeug als auch Methoden erläutert, um typische Eigenwertprobleme kleinster Systeme zu lösen, wie denen des Elektrons im Kasten und des H-Atoms. Wechselwirkt Strahlung mit einem Quantensystem, kann dieses mit Schwingungen oder Rotationen antworten. Auch das Phänomen des Tunneleffekt ist nun einer Beschreibung zugänglich. Dass bei der Messung einer Eigenschaft nur ein Mittelwert, bei der einer anderen dagegen ein scharfer Wert beobachtet wird, kann nun mit absoluter Sicherheit prognostiziert werden. Der Übergang von kleinsten Systemen zu größeren atomaren oder molekularen Einheiten wie dem He-Atom, dem H2+-Ion oder dem Benzol gelingt mit Näherungsverfahren, die zufriedenstellende Übereinstimmung mit den Experimenten ermöglichen, wenn auch mit hohem Rechenaufwand. Seminar paper from the year 2022 in the subject Gender Studies, grade: 1.0, University of Vienna (International Development), language: English, abstract: This paper is set out to explore the nexus of development and gender equality from a critical perspective on the postcolonial feminist critique to modernization theories. It, thereby, focuses on the status of women in the Islamic state (IS) shedding light on the points of contention between the postcolonial feminist perspective on development and the liberal feminist perspective, yet adding a further dimension to the debate ¿ namely the issue of non-development. This derives from the thesis that the actions by IS women stand in opposition to modernization theories and development theories in general, and that IS women were not only victims in need of aid but also perpetrators. The paper will, thus, answer the question in how far IS woman can be considered anti-development agents by reflecting on gendered barriers to development as well as on drivers of female agency identified in the Islamic State's manifesto on women and the IS online magazines Rumiyah and Dabiq, and by comparing and contrasting them with the postcolonial feminist critique to modernization theories.
